Sun Valley, USA, 1940 | Ernest Hemingway by Robert Capa

Ernest Hemingway by Robert Capa, Sun Valley, Idaho, USA, 1940

Robert Capa met Hemingway during the Spanish Civil War (which was Capa’s first war assignment) and immediately, as he said later, 'adopted Hemingway as a father'. Hemingway enjoyed the role of mentor and they became good friends. This photographs taken in Sun Valley, in 1940, when the two went on a hunting trip together.
